RNC, Trump Campaign Push for Monthly Debates with Biden

The Republican National Committee is pushing for more debates between President Biden and the potential Republican candidate for president. They want one debate to happen every month from June to September. This proposal comes after President Biden accepted an invitation to participate in two debates with the potential Republican candidate.

The Trump campaign advisers, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, believe that two debates are not enough. They argue that with the current problems in the country such as rising inflation, border issues, and chaos at home and abroad, more debates are necessary for the American people to hear from the candidates.

President Trump has agreed to the proposed debates in June and September. He even suggested having more than two debates and to hold them in large venues for excitement. The Trump advisors also suggested having a vice-presidential debate, in addition to the ones proposed for the presidential candidates.

The Republican National Committee, along with the Trump campaign advisers, believes that having more debates will allow voters to learn more about the candidates’ records and their visions for the future. This proposal also goes against the schedule typically set by the Commission on Presidential Debates, which normally organizes the debates.
