Roseanne Barr Stirs Controversy with Biden Assault Joke on Social Media

Comedian Roseanne Barr has sparked controversy with a social media video in which she made a joking claim that President Joe Biden sexually assaulted her 26 years ago. In the video, Barr was in a department store when she had “a horrible flashback” and declared that she needed to sue the president. This remark was in reference to writer E. Jean Carroll’s accusation that former President Donald Trump raped her in the 1990s.

Despite facing backlash for her joke, Barr has maintained her stance and insisted that she would “never insult a sexual assault victim.” Moreover, she clarified that she was specifically referring to Carroll, which could be interpreted as her skepticism of Carroll’s allegations against Trump.

Barr, a vocal supporter of Trump, has publicly lauded and defended the former president in the past, praising him for his integrity and describing him as “the only guy in my Hollywood career that ever returned a favor.” Additionally, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) used her account to laud Barr for the video.

This incident comes after a jury found Trump liable to pay $65 million in punitive damages and $18.3 million in compensatory damages to Carroll for her allegations against him. Carroll has vowed to do “everything I can” to prevent Trump’s return to the White House.
