Federal law enforcement authorities recently captured a group of Russian individuals suspected of having ties to terrorists in multiple big cities across the United States. The six Russian nationals, originally from Tajikistan, were believed to be associated with ISIS. Their arrests were made in cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia through a coordinated effort involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who were tipped off by the FBI.
According to a source familiar with the operation, this information was confirmed to a news outlet. The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a statement saying that the arrests were made in collaboration with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces. The individuals are currently being detained by ICE while awaiting their immigration proceedings.

One of the apprehended Russians was discovered to have discussed bombs through a wiretap. Shockingly, this individual had been previously released at the southern border by immigration authorities and granted a future court date before his potential ties to ISIS were revealed. This concerning incident highlights the dangers posed by individuals with terrorist affiliations who enter the country illegally.
The recent arrests come at a time when the United States is facing a severe crisis at the southern border, with millions of illegal immigrants entering the country during President Biden’s administration. The surge in illegal crossings has also led to a significant increase in suspected terrorists trying to enter the country, showing a more than 2,500% rise compared to the previous administration.
