In today’s topsy-turvy world, even former pillars of American virtue like the Boy Scouts have fallen prey to the insidious creep of wokeness. Now rebranded as “Scouting America,” this once-proud institution has exchanged its honor badges for rainbow patches. Our government, or what’s left of its common sense, is finally putting its foot down. The War Department is calling for them to toss out their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) nonsense if they want to keep any relationship with the federal body. About time, wouldn’t you say?
Scouting used to be about building character, teaching survival skills, and fostering patriotism. But thanks to the liberal agenda, it’s devolved into yet another progressive experiment. When liberals aren’t satisfied with turning universities into leftist indoctrination camps, they set their sights on any organization that embodies traditional values. And truth be told, they’ve done quite a number on the Scouts. But perhaps, with this new directive from the War Department, we can start to undo some of the damage.

Just think about who actually benefits from DEI—the same elite pushing their globalist agenda. They don’t care about empowering individuals through hard work and merit; they’re more interested in seeing everyone conform to their cookie-cutter vision of society. And who pays the price? Every day, Americans and their children are robbed of a genuine experience that instills discipline and respect.
It’s refreshing to see the government take a stand, albeit long overdue. We should demand more of this! Imagine a country where our institutions refuse to bow to every woke whim that comes their way. Instead of pandering to fringe ideologies, let’s nurture environments where competence and character are what count. This is the America that has always led the world, not one confused by the false virtue-signaling of diversity mandates.
The real question here is simple: can Scouting America return to its roots, or is it too far gone? The answer lies in whether they’re willing to shed the shackles of wokeness and stand true to the values that made America great. Ultimately, teaching children how to tie knots and help their neighbors might be a better use of their time than SJW seminars. Who wouldn’t agree with that?
