Ryan Routh, the deranged man who tried to kill President Trump at his Florida golf course, thinks he can be his own lawyer. This is the same lunatic who hid in bushes with an AK-style rifle waiting to murder our president. Now he wants to represent himself in court like he’s some kind of legal genius.
Legal expert Jonathan Turley called Routh “delusional” and said he’s “obsessed with himself.” That sounds about right for someone who thought he could take down the leader of the free world. This guy is so full of himself that he thinks he can outsmart federal prosecutors without any legal training.
Routh tried to assassinate Trump on September 15, 2024, while our president was playing golf in West Palm Beach. A brave Secret Service agent spotted the rifle barrel sticking through the bushes and fired at this would-be killer. Thank God our agents were doing their job that day.
This was the second time in just nine weeks that radical leftists tried to murder President Trump. These attacks on our democratically elected leader are getting out of hand. The mainstream media and Democrat politicians have created this toxic environment with their non-stop Trump hatred.
The trial is set to start on September 8, just days from now. If convicted, this terrorist could spend life in prison where he belongs. But letting him represent himself is a joke that could turn the courtroom into a circus.
To make matters worse, Routh’s own son was arrested for having child pornography on his devices. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in this sick family. His son got seven years in prison and had the nerve to claim it was “political persecution.”
This whole case shows how dangerous the radical left has become. They can’t beat Trump at the ballot box so they resort to violence and assassination attempts. Every patriotic American should be outraged by these attacks on our democracy.
Judge Aileen Cannon will oversee this case, the same judge who previously ruled against the weaponized Justice Department in Trump’s classified documents case. At least we know she won’t let the deep state railroad anyone in her courtroom.
