The federal judiciary’s latest move to block President Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship is another glaring example of runaway activism undermining American sovereignty. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, notorious for its far-left bent, didn’t just dismiss the president’s commonsense plan—they slapped down an entire effort to protect the country from a broken immigration system. Trump aimed to halt the automatic granting of U.S. citizenship to children born here to illegal immigrants or those with temporary legal status, a measure any rational person knows is urgent. Yet a panel of activist judges declared the move “unconstitutional,” because according to them, the Constitution is some untouchable relic that can’t reckon with the messy realities of modern borders.
This ruling is not about legal principles. It’s about liberal judges weaponizing the law to sabotage policies that protect American workers, taxpayers, and the rule of law.
