Elissa Slotkin and her Democratic pals have again stumbled into a trap of their own making. When will liberals learn that barking accusations without substance bite them back? Recently, Slotkin urged military folks to push back against supposed “illegal orders” from President Trump. She tiptoed around naming Trump directly, but the implication was as clear as day. And, of course, outrage ensued.
Guess what happened next? Slotkin had to eat her words. On national television, no less! Faced with pointed questions about any actual illegal orders from Trump, Slotkin cowered and backpedaled faster than a politician caught in a scandal. She cautiously admitted she wasn’t aware of anything illegal coming from Trump. Well, isn’t that convenient?

This whole spectacle is another glowing example of Democratic hypocrisy. They scream “illegal orders” from the rooftops without a shred of evidence and then scramble to save face when confronted. Slotkin and her crew presented this sham warning to the military as a grim duty, but under scrutiny, it crumbled into mere procedural advice. Just a suggestion to follow proper channels if orders seem fishy. No accusation here, right?
Slotkin’s floundering exposed the Democrats’ hypocrisy. They love to toss out baseless claims, but when asked for specifics, the smoke and mirrors quickly dissipate. It’s all about narrative over truth for them. Trump’s use of the National Guard in sanctuary cities allowed them to grandstand, but once the cameras were on and the tough questions flew, Slotkin’s stance wilted.
So, where does that leave us? Yet again, Democrats build a house of cards on thin air, all in a vain attempt to undermine Trump. Their tactics are now about as transparent as water. How many mea culpas will it take before the Left puts facts first? Don’t hold your breath.
