After viciously slandering the late Charlie Kirk by falsely accusing him of calling for the stoning of gay people, King had to backtrack and issue a limp apology—after conservatives called out his blatant lie. It didn’t take long for the truth to surface: Charlie Kirk stood for inclusion in the conservative movement. He supported the idea that gay people should be welcome and treated with love, even while holding traditional views on marriage. But the radical left’s thirst for character assassination couldn’t wait for facts.
This incident isn’t just about one Hollywood celebrity botching reality; it’s a glaring example of how the mainstream left weaponizes misinformation to attack anyone who dares to challenge their narrative. Stephen King’s false claim, coming the day after Kirk was assassinated at a college event, was a cheap shot—typical of liberals who pounce on tragedy to score political points. And when caught, the apology came not from principle but from pressure. The left’s favorite pastime is to label conservatives as hateful or violent, yet the real aggression often comes from their own camps, including King’s reckless words.

Charlie Kirk was a leader who built Turning Point USA from the ground up, creating a safe space for conservative youths to speak out on campuses flooded with radical leftist propaganda. Meanwhile, students and conservative speakers at these events frequently face violent protests and intimidation. Attempted assaults, threats, and even murders have been visited upon them, but that narrative is twisted to paint conservatives as the villains. If the mainstream media and cultural elites actually cared about truth, they’d show who’s really under attack—not feed the fire with lies.
What makes King’s smear attempt painfully ironic is Kirk’s 2019 message urging the conservative movement to be a place for everyone, including gays. That is a stark contrast to the left’s endless attempts to divide and demonize. Instead of cherry-picking Bible verses to score cheap hits, Americans should be embracing a vision that values personal responsibility, freedom, and inclusion—all while refusing to be bullied into silence or twisted into caricatures by spiteful celebrities and their woke allies.
The left has proven time and again they will stop at nothing to silence conservative voices—even after death. Stephen King’s false claim and tardy apology were just the latest episode in their relentless campaign of hatred disguised as “social justice.” So let this be a warning: when liberals tear down a man like Charlie Kirk with lies, we have to push back harder and demand accountability.
