In an unsurprising turn of events, it looks like the swamp creatures are back to their old tricks in President Biden’s White House. Jeff Ricchetti, the lobbyist brother of senior White House aide Steve Ricchetti, has managed to rake in a whopping $8.3 million from clients since Biden took office. It seems like those family connections are really paying off for the Ricchetti clan!
During the first three quarters of 2023, Jeff took home more than four times the amount he earned during the same period when Donald Trump was in office. Are we really supposed to believe that this massive increase in earnings has nothing to do with his brother’s influence in the White House? I’ve got a bridge to sell you if you buy that one!

The cherry on top of this nepotism sundae is that the companies Jeff lobbied for have received direct benefits from the administration’s legislative agenda. It’s like they’re not even trying to hide the corruption anymore!
Ethicists have raised concerns about the incestuous relationship between the Ricchetti brothers, calling for Steve to recuse himself from any discussions related to his brother’s lobbying firm. Even an Obama-era government ethics director slammed the Biden administration for engaging in “illegal” acts of nepotism. Ouch, the hypocrisy is so thick you could cut it with a knife!
And let’s not forget the cozy ties between Jeff Ricchetti’s clients and the administration’s actions. With one of the largest US auto manufacturers, medical and pharmaceutical companies, and Amazon benefiting from their association with Ricchetti Inc., it’s clear that influence peddling is alive and well in the Biden White House.
The fact that Jeff managed to cash in on issues related to tax incentives for electric vehicles, climate policy affecting the automobile industry, and Covid-19 vaccine-related matters is just the icing on the cake. It’s as if the Biden administration is saying, “Hey, if you want favors from us, just hire Jeff Ricchetti to do your lobbying!”
In the end, it’s business as usual for the political elites in Washington. The White House and Jeff Ricchetti aren’t exactly jumping to explain themselves, which is about as shocking as the sun rising in the east. But hey, who needs transparency and ethical behavior when you’ve got family connections and fat stacks of cash, right?
