Senator Ted Cruz recently expressed his concern over the Biden administration’s lack of transparency and accountability in the use of funds provided to the Ukrainian government. On his podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” he suggested that there may be little interest in unrestrained checks going to the government of Ukraine with a Republican majority in the House and that the focus should be on the strategic national objective.
For Democrats, a Ukrainian flag is like a COVID mask— it's a sign to show your virtue! pic.twitter.com/FomxIDoG2L

Cruz also criticized Democrats for wearing Ukrainian flags as a virtue signal, comparing it to wearing a COVID mask, and suggested that it is driving Americans away from standing up to Russian aggression. He mentioned that it is “jarring” to see images of President Biden in a sweatshirt and fatigues next to Ukrainian President Zelensky, calling it a “costume.”
Cruz believes that the Biden administration should be prioritizing providing missiles that could take out Iranian drones instead of entering into a new nuclear deal with the Ayatollah. He also believes that there should be more scrutiny on what funds are going to Ukraine and that there should be an open-ended commitment to the Ukrainian war.
The Senator also suggested that the focus should be on what our strategic national objective is, which is to stand up to Russia and aggression. He believes that the Democrats’ preening around with Ukrainian flags is driving millions of Americans away from standing up to Russian aggression.
Cruz believes that the Biden administration should be focusing on providing weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainians to defend themselves, rather than unrestrained checks going to the government of Ukraine. He believes that this would be a better way to achieve our strategic national objective and would be more beneficial for both Ukraine and the United States.
