Conservatives should be grateful for media voices that refuse to look the other way when a hostile regime lashes out at an American leader.
The threats are not idle rhetoric. Recent reporting has documented Iran’s blistering response to U.S. warnings and its willingness to use violent language against American interests, even as Tehran cracks down brutally on its own people at home. This is not a matter for polite diplomatic nods; it is a clear national security danger that must be taken seriously.
Washington has already seen disturbing evidence of Iran-linked plots in previous years, with criminal charges filed in connection to alleged murder-for-hire schemes and intelligence assessments that flagged Tehran’s proxy capabilities. Tehran’s public denials are predictable propaganda; actions and past patterns tell the real story. Meanwhile, some in the establishment would rather manage optics than secure results, trotting out soothing assurances and back-channel notes while Iran arms proxies and escalates threats. The United States reportedly received written assurances in the past, but assurances are not deterrence — decisive policy and demonstrated strength are. Our leaders must show ironclad resolve, not hollow reassurances.
The instability inside Iran, including mass protests and a brutal crackdown on dissidents, only increases the regime’s unpredictability and the risk it poses abroad. That volatility should convince every patriot that appeasement is the wrong strategy; sanctions, pressure on Tehran’s assets, and unwavering support for our regional allies are the measures that work. Weakness invites aggression, and America must never reward it.
If Iran thinks threats will intimidate President Trump or the American people, they are badly mistaken. We stand with a commander-in-chief who understands that peace is secured through strength, not platitudes, and Americans must rally behind firm action to protect our nation and our leaders. Let Tehran hear it loud and clear: threats will be met with consequences, and freedom-loving people will not be cowed.
