Texas Democratic Representative Al Green is back at it again, swinging for the impeachment fences in what can only be described as a one-man Netflix binge of political melodrama. This time, he’s hoping to impeach Donald Trump for a third time, citing Trump’s comments regarding the Gaza Strip as the tipping point for this rather Quixotic endeavor.
Green has declared that he will bring Articles of Impeachment against Trump, proclaiming it a mission of justice against “dastardly deeds.” Apparently, any comment made by Trump is enough to revive Green’s impeachment fantasies, regardless of the context or intent. During a recent press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump suggested that the U.S. could “take over the Gaza Strip” with plans to rebuild the area. If only Green could channel that kind of enthusiasm into actually solving problems in his district, one might think Texas would have transformed into a paradise by now.
I haven’t seen Democrats this mad since we turned their Slaves Free! 😂🤣Democrat Rep. Al Green has filed articles of impeachment against President Trump for "dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done."

The Democratic congressman is particularly riled up about Trump’s remarks, framing them as the equivalent of declaring war on ethics. He believes that the very idea of the U.S. taking responsibility for Gaza is tantamount to advocating for “ethnic cleansing,” which Green insists is no laughing matter—especially when it comes from the mouth of a president. Such dramatics might play well in the theater of his mind, but for sane political minds, they come off as a stretch fitting only for a poorly written screenplay.
While Green’s indignation fills the air like perfume in a crowded elevator, the reality is that his impeachment efforts don’t have a snowball’s chance in Phoenix. With Republicans holding a considerable majority in both the House and Senate, it’s safe to assume that any articles he conjures up will end up collecting dust faster than a forgotten New Year’s resolution. Impeachment has become the Democratic version of getting ready in the morning: lots of noise, little substance, and things rarely going as planned.
This latest escapade isn’t Green’s first rodeo. His impeachment odyssey began back in 2017 following Trump’s firing of former FBI Director James Comey. Since then, he’s launched a series of resolutions against the former president over various issues, from Charlottesville riots to his handling of nearly everything under the sun. It’s clear that Green considers himself a maestro in a symphony of political resistance, where the audience applauds dysfunction rather than musicality. If only such fervor was directed towards addressing the problems his constituents face, perhaps they wouldn’t be stuck listening to his operatic political imaginings.
