Texas Democrat Slams Big Money Yet Takes $59K from Trump-Backing Billionaire

Texas Democrat James Talarico loves to rant about the evils of big money in politics, but when it comes to padding his own campaign pockets, he’s more than willing to cozy up to a casino billionaire with a history of backing President Trump. Oh, the sweet irony! The very man who hightailed it out of Texas to thwart Republican efforts in redistricting is now flush with cash from none other than Miriam Adelson, a GOP megadonor. Note the hypocrisy as Talarico touts legislation to cap donations while happily accepting a whopping $59,000 from Adelson herself.

Why would a self-proclaimed crusader against political corruption accept such a donation? Of course, it’s all in the name of not “unilaterally disarming” against those evil Republicans. A real example of “do as I say, not as I do.” Talk about a textbook liberal move — preaching reform while partaking in the very system they claim to despise. The left is clamoring for campaign finance reform but when push comes to shove, they line their campaign war chests with funds from their so-called enemies.

But it doesn’t end there. Not only does Talarico take money from a casino mogul, but he also voted to let Texans decide on whether to legalize casino gambling. It’s amazing how flexible his principles become when it’s politically convenient. Democrats like Talarico constantly criticize conservative values, yet when a savvy casino billionaire waves a checkbook, ethical high ground vanishes faster than Texas tumbleweed.

This level of hypocrisy is staggering, but, unfortunately, typical for the Democratic elites. They’ll cry tyranny and shout for reform until they spot an opportunity to better their interests. Liberals demand transparency but operate in shadowy alliances, serving the interests of globalists and big-money donors. It leaves one to wonder: If these champions of justice and democracy can be bought so easily, what else are they willing to compromise?

At the end of the day, it’s clear that Talarico and his liberal comrades push the narrative that suits them, all while feeding on the very system they pretend to detest. Texans are smarter than these politicians think, and perhaps when election time rolls around, they’ll show Talarico the door. Isn’t it time we demand consistency from those who claim to represent our values?
