Texas Democrats showed their true colors again by fleeing the state instead of doing their job. They left to block a fair vote on new election maps, hoping to protect their seats from voters. Governor Greg Abbott isn’t letting them hide – he’s sending state police to bring them back and arrest those who refuse to return.
New York’s Governor Hochul joined the chaos, calling Abbott and Texas Republicans “authoritarians” and vowing to fight them with “fire and fury.” She invited Texas Democrats to hold their tantrum in Albany, rallying them like a war leader.
Abbott made clear the abandoned Democrats could lose their seats. Texas law lets courts remove lawmakers who shirk their duty, and Abbott plans to fill those vacancies with real leaders. He also accused defectors of breaking bribery laws by raising donations to buy their way out of fines.
Conservative voices like Laura Ingraham called the whole thing “political theater.” She said Democrats only know how to throw fits when they can’t win with honest votes. Ingraham nailed it – this isn’t about democracy. It’s about power-hungry leftists refusing to accept reality.
Texas sheriffs are already looking for the missing lawmakers. Democrats who stay out of state could face arrest warrants and homeland travel bans. They might even need extraditions – Abbott isn’t bluffing.
Hochul threatened Texas with her own state’s laws, but Texans aren’t intimidated. We know New York’s recruiting leftists to break our rules, but that’s not how we serve citizens here. Texas will stand firm – no silly games.
Dallas Rep. Venton Jones claimed Democrats “fight for all Texans,” but his actions speak louder. Fleeing instead of debating shows he cares more about party power than people. Real leaders face challenges, they don’t run.
Abbott won’t back down. Texas keeps passing laws with overwhelming GOP majorities, and these Democrats will either do their jobs or get replaced. Their tantrums might work on liberal media, but we see through the clown act.
