These are the same folks who screech about respect and civility but have no qualms acting like petulant children when they encounter differing views.
Ed Martin, one of President Donald Trump’s strong judicial picks, found himself at the center of one of these disgraceful acts. Conducting a peaceful segment with Newsmax, Martin was rudely interrupted by some deranged protestor, ignorant enough to think spitting on someone is an acceptable form of political discourse. Are these the heroes the left wants to exalt in their crusade against decency?
Despite his nomination for the U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C., reluctantly crumbling due to political maneuvering, Martin is undeniably an example of Trump’s commitment to return integrity and patriotism to our institutions. We’ll get back to how, once again, spineless Senate Republicans fell prey to the Democrats’ mob mentality, thwarting Martin’s clear-cut nomination. Instead of dwelling on the negative, Trump, ever the strategist, has repositioned Martin within the Department of Justice to tackle what he calls the “Weaponization Working Group.” The game ain’t over yet.
And for those who thought the spitter would walk away scot-free? Think again. In a decisive move that marks just how seriously the law should treat the assault of federal figures, this unruly woman will now face the iron hammer of justice. It’s about time we stop excusing appalling behavior and start holding these maniacs accountable.
