Another day, another tragedy in a Democrat-run city. Two innocent children, just 8 and 10 years old, were gunned down while praying at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis. They were sitting in their pews, hands folded in prayer, when evil came for them through stained glass windows.
The gunman fired between 50 and 100 rounds at worshippers during their morning Mass. Seventeen other people were hurt, including 14 more children. These kids were starting their first week of school at this faith-based institution that has served families since 1923.
Mayor Jacob Frey stood before cameras with his typical liberal tears, saying these kids were literally praying when they were murdered. Where was this outrage when his city burned during the riots? Where were these emotional pleas when Minneapolis became a lawless wasteland under his watch?
This is what happens when soft-on-crime policies rule our cities. Minneapolis has been a playground for criminals ever since the defund the police movement took hold. Now innocent children pay the price for failed liberal leadership that coddles thugs and abandons law-abiding citizens.
These families sent their kids to a Christian school hoping to keep them safe from the chaos plaguing public education. They wanted their children learning about faith, values, and respect. Instead, violence followed them even into the house of God.
The shooter took his own life after his cowardly attack, robbing these families of justice. But the real criminals are the politicians who created this environment where churches and schools become targets. Their hands are stained with the blood of these babies.
Seven children remain in critical condition fighting for their lives. While politicians offer empty thoughts and prayers, these families face medical bills and trauma that will last forever. This is the cost of liberal policies that put criminals before victims.
America’s children deserve better than this. They deserve leaders who will protect them, not politicians who care more about appeasing criminals than keeping our kids safe. These two little angels will never grow up because adults failed to keep evil at bay.
