A far-right activist claimed that Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene was trying to sabotage Donald Trump's presidential bid. This is all according to an article in Newsweek.
Laura Loomer, an anti-Muslim activist who ran for office in Florida in 2020, accused Greene of being part of a conspiracy against Trump by hiring Milo Yiannopoulos, a former editor at right-wing website, as her intern.
According to her, Yiannopoulos is now sabotaging and attacking Trump while he's working as the campaign manager for Kanye West.
West released a campaign video on Thursday, where he talked about his interaction with Yiannopoulos and white nationalist Nick Fuentes at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
In the video, West stated that Trump was impressed by the way Fuentes conducted himself. Fuentes is an alleged white supremacist and Holocaust denier who has made numerous racist and antisemitic statements.
In an article, Loomer accused Representative Greene of undermining Trump by hiring Milo Yiannopoulos as her intern. She also claimed that Yiannopoulos is attacking and sabotaging the president as his campaign manager.
It's troubling that MTG is using Trump to boost her profile and that she and her associates are secretly undermining him using Milo as their political operative. She went so far as to refer to Marjorie Taylor Greene as "Marjorie TRAITOR Greene".
Yiannopoulos was a controversial figure during Trump's first run for office. As the Alt-Right rallied around Trump during his campaign, Yiannopoulos was an influential figure within the movement.
In July 2016, Yiannopoulos was banned from Twitter for his role in orchestrating online racist attacks against Leslie Jones, who was a comedian and the star of Saturday Night Live. After a video of him advocating for pedophilia surfaced in 2017, conservative figures shunned him.
In June, Yiannopoulos announced that he was working as an intern for Greene in her congressional office. He was helping West, who has made numerous antisemitic statements since last October, in his presidential run.
According to her, Greene is working with Kevin McCarthy, who is set to become the next House speaker, to sabotage Trump's presidential bid and boost the chances of Ron DeSantis' chances of becoming the next governor of Florida.
According to Loomer, Kanye West's campaign will take votes away from Trump. The media's negative coverage of Trump has also pushed more people towards DeSantis. Despite this, MTG still hasn't fired Yiannopoulos.
