After returning to office, Trump has shown no hesitation in imposing stringent tariffs on Chinese goods. These steps are an essential pushback against a nation notorious for exploiting trade and taking advantage of American generosity. But wait, it gets better. Trump has hinted at an even bigger shake-up—a complete reset in U.S.-China relations could be on the table.
The man who wrote the book on negotiation shared on Truth Social that substantial progress is being made with China. By demanding an open door for American businesses, President Trump ensures that capitalism—not communism—dictates terms. In Geneva, both sides are hammering out an agreement that could take the battle to unfair trade practices and reassert American economic dominance.
And here’s the kicker: America isn’t rolling over. For the next 90 days, tariff reductions of 24 points for Chinese goods will be matched by China’s concessions, which will include taking back retaliatory countermeasures. This is nothing short of a masterclass in negotiation, something Democrats could learn a thing or two about if they weren’t too busy playing footsie with globalist interests.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick hit the nail on the head in a recent interview. The president isn’t about to tolerate a trillion-dollar trade deficit. This administration is about cutting the deficit and growing GDP. Trump is doing exactly what he promised—fixing trade not just with China but with the rest of the globe. Unlike previous administrations, which have been more interested in appeasing foreign powers, Trump is laser-focused on the American economy. He means business, and America wins when he leads.

In another win for Trump, and by extension, Americans everywhere, a new trade agreement with the United Kingdom promises to boost exports and open new market access. A 10% tariff remains, but levies on critical goods like steel and automobiles are lifted. Our great farmers gain massively as American beef and agriculture see unprecedented access across the pond.
All this begs the question—why haven’t Democrats been able to make such strides? Maybe they’d rather prioritize foreign workers and stock portfolios than the families and businesses they claim to represent.
Could it be any clearer? With Trump in charge, America doesn’t come second. Where some see confrontation, Trump sees opportunity—and once again, he’s delivering. What will the liberals say now, as they watch this unrelenting drive to secure America’s future? Not much, if recent silence is any gauge.
