President Trump just dealt a massive blow to the tired old establishment by slapping a pause on a 100-year-old shipping law—all to lower America’s sky-high oil prices. With Iran rattling its saber and gas prices gouging the average American, the President once again showed real leadership. While D.C. bureaucrats wring their hands and liberals whine about tradition, Trump actually takes action.
The so-called “experts” on the left shriek whenever Trump dares to cut through their precious red tape. They love to hide behind outdated rules when it suits their anti-American agenda. But when working families get crushed at the pump, suddenly they don’t have any answers. Trump steps in, puts America first, and gives relief to the people who need it most. Of course, the liberal elite are furious—because it proves that government interference is the problem, not the solution.

The Jones Act has been choking American energy for a century, all to please special interests and globalists who dream of higher costs and weaker U.S. businesses. The left doesn’t care what those rules do to the average truck driver or single mom at the gas station. They’d rather keep Americans poor than risk upsetting their friends in big government or foreign oil regimes.
For two months, thanks to this common-sense move, America will finally have breathing room. Oil prices can come down, tankers can move freely, and the country can stop sending money overseas. Imagine a government that actually puts its citizens first—no wonder the media and their Democrat talking heads are in full meltdown.
Liberals can scream about “norms” and “process” all day, but Trump is getting results while they’re stuck in the past. If the old rules prop up higher prices and hurt the American worker, maybe those rules deserve to be shattered. Isn’t it about time someone fought for the people who make this country run? It’s called America First—deal with it.
