For decades, the people of Cuba have suffered under a brutal communist dictatorship. Their so-called “leaders” promised equality and freedom, but in reality, destroyed businesses, jailed anyone who spoke out, and made daily life a nightmare. While elites and left-wing celebrities in America cheered on the revolution, families in Havana stood in breadlines and watched loved ones disappear. That’s the truth liberals never want to face.
But there’s hope on the horizon. President Trump isn’t afraid to say what everyone knows: Cuba’s days as a communist prison are numbered. The wave of freedom sweeping across the world can’t be stopped, no matter how much the globalists in Washington, D.C., cross their fingers for socialism. Trump understands that the Cuban regime is standing on shaky ground, and it’s only a matter of time before it collapses under its own lies.
Meanwhile, Democrats seem more concerned with appeasing dictators than defending freedom. Look at how they bend over backward to excuse the failures of socialism, pretending the misery in Cuba is just a “complicated issue.” When woke pundits defend Castro’s legacy or talk about the “good” socialism could do, they slap every Cuban exile right in the face. These liberal elites have never stood in a ration line or whispered the truth in secret, afraid the regime was listening.

How can American liberals keep ignoring the cries of the Cuban people? They’d rather chase headlines about “equity” here than support real freedom fighters 90 miles from our shores. President Trump gets it because he stands with the oppressed, not the oppressors. He’s not afraid to call out the rot at the heart of communist regimes — or the weakness of their enablers in our own government.
The only question left is when — not if — Cuba will rise. The left can keep making excuses for socialists and dictators all day long. But history shows that tyranny always falls. Maybe it’s time the Democrats stop idolizing failed revolutions and start standing on the right side of freedom for once.
