In a stunning turn of events, former President Donald Trump, the man who never shies away from a catchy nickname, has declared that former Vice President Mike Pence has “gone to the Dark Side.” And no, he is not talking about joining Darth Vader and the Sith Lords. In this case, it seems to reference Pence potentially testifying in Trump’s latest criminal case.
But hold your horses, folks, because Pence is denying any plans to testify. Of course, he’s always been a team player, so he conveniently says he will “always comply with the law.” Well, isn’t that just wonderful? It’s really heartwarming to see someone who is so committed to following the rules. Bravo, Pence, bravo.
During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Pence hopped on his high horse and proclaimed that the former president is entitled to a presumption of innocence. Oh, how noble of him! But here’s the thing, Mr. Pence, the American people also deserve to know the truth. So tell us, did Trump really ask you to violate your oath to the Constitution?
It’s quite ironic to hear Pence say that putting oneself over the Constitution should disqualify someone from the presidency. After all, isn’t that what he did during the certification of the 2020 election results? But hey, why let a little hypocrisy get in the way of political aspirations?

In a surprising twist, Trump’s attorney, John Lauro, is actually looking forward to the possibility of Pence testifying. He even boldly declares that Pence will be their “best witness.” Well, isn’t that a ringing endorsement? It’s almost as if Lauro is confident that Pence will provide evidence that supports Trump’s claim of election irregularities.
All in all, this is turning into quite the political circus. The tension between Trump and Pence is palpable, and it seems that both sides are ready to bare their teeth.
