President Trump is no stranger to shaking things up. This week, he did it again—telling the Department of Defense to put American coal first. That’s right: Coal, the energy source that built this nation and kept our lights on for generations, finally gets the support it deserves from the White House. No more bowing to the green energy zealots or the globalists who sneer at American workers. Trump is looking out for real Americans, not woke bureaucrats or foreign lobbyists.
Some so-called “conservatives” are clutching their pearls, claiming this goes against decades of free-market tradition. But let’s face it: Blind loyalty to “the market” has left too many Americans behind. The free market doesn’t care about the coal miner in Pennsylvania or the family struggling to pay their electricity bill. Trump does. While the elites lecture about “clean energy,” it’s our towns that get hollowed out, our jobs that disappear, and our communities that get ignored.

Liberals, of course, love to play moral police whenever Trump actually helps Americans who aren’t living in D.C. or Silicon Valley. According to them, supporting American coal is somehow evil, but selling out to China is just business as usual. They’d rather see American energy jobs crushed by burdensome regulations and unfair foreign competition than admit Trump might be right. Hypocrisy is their calling card.
And let’s not pretend there’s no precedent here. The so-called green revolution is flush with government handouts and special breaks—picked winners and losers, all designed by left-wing bureaucrats. They’re fine with Washington manipulating the energy market as long as it fits their anti-American agenda. Trump’s only crime is finally tipping the scales back in favor of working people.
Patriotism means having the courage to protect America’s resources and workers. Trump has that courage. The question is: Does anyone else in Washington have the guts to stand with him—or will they keep selling out to the globalist elites who couldn’t care less about real Americans?
