The Left is absolutely losing it. President Trump found a way to bring down drug prices for American families, and instead of cheering cheaper medicine, Democrats act like it’s the end of the world. They love to yap about an “affordability crisis,” but their tired solution always circles back to raising your taxes and putting D.C. in control of your wallet. When Trump does something real—like launch TrumpRx so people can finally get affordable prescriptions—suddenly, liberals need a brand-new boogeyman.
Here’s the punchline. They can’t yell about drug prices being too high here anymore, because President Trump actually did something about it. Now, the left is crying crocodile tears for Switzerland. That’s right—Democrats are upset that Americans might pay less for insulin or Ozempic, because maybe drug companies will dare to charge the Swiss a fair price for once. Funny how quickly liberals forget their endless sermons about how Europe does everything better. When Trump policies finally force Big Pharma to stop soaking Americans, suddenly it’s a crisis for global “fairness.”

This is typical for the ruling class on the coasts. They would rather stick up for global elites than for American patients paying outrageous prices. Europe, after all, built its “affordable” healthcare by forcing American companies and taxpayers to pick up the slack. Taxpayers here bankroll foreign aid and NATO, freeing Europe to spend on their broken, socialized medicine. Now, with TrumpRx leveling the field just a little, Democrats panic: Who will pay for Europe’s free ride if Americans stop being the patsies?
The rich irony? Even as drug costs are finally being tamed here, leftists warn of trouble for “progressive” systems overseas. The Swiss, of all places, are now complaining about maybe paying market rates for world-class medicine. There’s no such thing as a free lunch, but don’t tell that to the globalist crowd who always wants America to foot the bill.
Democrats are running out of villains. First, they blamed President Trump for high prices. Now, they blame him for prices being too low. It’s always about expanding government control, wrecking American sovereignty, and spinning honest reforms into bogus scandals. The truth is simple: President Trump is putting Americans first, and the left can’t handle it. Maybe the globalists should get used to a world where Americans look out for their own citizens.
