Christmas at Mar-a-Lago was an event only President Trump could pull off with his signature bravado, far beyond the reach of his predecessor, Joe Biden. While the current administration grapples with sounding coherent on any topic, Trump was taking Christmas calls from children and making it look effortless. Biden might be hiding behind teleprompters, while the real President showed the world what true leadership looks like—with humor, charm, and a touch of sarcasm.
Trump’s holiday calls to kids showcased his typical flair. With a chuckle, he joked about Santa infiltrating the country in true Trump fashion. Only Trump could balance national security with Santa Claus and make us all laugh in the process. Liberals, with their obsession over political correctness, just don’t get this kind of authenticity. They’d rather traffic in fear, even when it comes to discussing Santa.

One particular child wanted to avoid getting coal for Christmas. Instead of talking down to the kid, Trump discussed “clean, beautiful coal,” a pitch-perfect nod to the industry that the woke left wants to obliterate. While the coastal elites celebrate their latest ESG scores, the families who rely on coal for their livelihood find their champion in Trump.
When a kid asked for a Kindle, Trump commented on the importance of having smart people in our country. It’s straightforward advice deriving from common sense—a quality lacking in today’s progressive culture that’s hell-bent on dumbing down society. Patriots need not apologize for wanting a nation filled with high achievers.
Of course, not everyone can handle such raw, unscripted truths. Some on the left cried foul, because heaven forbid we inject humor into a holiday tradition! It really makes one wonder, is their problem with Trump, or does their disdain extend to Santa, children, and all things that bring joy? What has happened to their sense of humor? Maybe they should ask Santa for it next year.
