In an explosive power move, President Trump deploys the Texas National Guard to Chicago, and Democratic Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker is fuming. The country’s truth-seekers will see this for what it is—a decisive attempt to restore law and order amidst chaos encouraged by liberal politicians who have lost their grip on reality and public safety.
Chicago, a known sanctuary city, has spiraled into a dangerous free-for-all. Witness the shocking incident where Border Patrol agents were ambushed, resulting in gunfire. Chicago police stood by, apparently more committed to political theater and appeasing anti-ICE radicals than offering aid or enforcing the law. Yet, Pritzker screams about sovereignty and invasion as if this is a war against him rather than a necessary intervention to protect American citizens from absolute bedlam.

Pritzker’s outrage that Trump bypassed him speaks volumes. Should the President have politely waited while Illinois leaders blatantly abandoned their duty to maintain peace? Pritzker accuses Trump of turning Illinois into a military zone, but it sounds more like sour grapes from a governor whose “sanctuary policies” are backfiring spectacularly. If Pritzker feels marginalized, it’s because his politics have written him—or rather, his constituents—off the page of law enforcement sensibility.
Then there’s Mayer Brandon Johnson of Chicago, whose support for protestors over federal agents playing out like a misguided farce. His consistently low approval ratings reflect his failed leadership and the fact that he governs a war zone. Everyone but him seems to see it, with average Chicagoans enduring fear and violence while he prioritizes exactly the wrong things.
Kristi Noem, now taking action as Secretary of Homeland Security, presses on with Trump’s whole-of-government strategy. She recognizes what many lefty city officials refuse to—a territory embroiled in crime won’t save itself by pandering to protestors while ignoring the real agents of change.
The time has come to ask: How much longer will Americans tolerate leaders who shirk their responsibility to protect and serve? With Trump taking the necessary action, one has to wonder who’s really standing up for the people? Certainly not those who conspire against their own law enforcement agencies for political gain.
