The final straw came when a group of teenage thugs brutally beat a young Trump administration staffer during a carjacking attempt.
Ed Corstine, a 19-year-old who worked for the Department of Government Efficiency, was savagely attacked by up to 10 teenagers early Sunday morning. This brilliant young patriot pushed his girlfriend into their car to protect her before taking a horrific beating from these animals. This is what happens when liberal Democrats let criminals rule the streets.
Trump immediately declared a public safety emergency and put D.C. police under federal control. He also ordered the National Guard into our capital city to restore law and order. Finally, we have a president who actually cares about protecting innocent Americans from criminal scum.
Of course, the far-left mayor Muriel Bowser is fighting back with typical Democrat lies. She claims D.C. is at a 30-year low for violent crime, which is complete nonsense. Anyone with eyes can see that Washington has become a hellhole where decent people fear for their lives.
Border czar Tom Homan called out these lying Democrats perfectly. He said after 40 years in law enforcement, he won’t even walk through D.C. without carrying a gun. Homan challenged any reporter defending D.C.’s safety to walk the streets after dark and see what happens.
The truth is simple: liberal policies create crime and chaos. Democrats have turned our beautiful capital into a war zone where murderers and carjackers terrorize families. These are the same Democrats who claimed our border was secure while millions of illegals poured in.
