A familiar sight unfolded on Election Night as Donald Trump ascended once again to the position of President-elect, much to the dismay of leftist media outlets that had their hopes pinned on Vice President Kamala Harris. It was a night filled with laughter for conservatives who relished the adequate showing from their candidate while leftist pundits unleashed their usual flurry of emotional outbursts on social media.
BuzzFeed News, ever the emotional reactionary, took to X to post a cringe-inducing missive referring to Trump as a “lil b-tch.” This post, inevitably deleted, is not surprising given BuzzFeed’s long history of slandering the former president. However, it did demonstrate perfectly the kind of temper tantrum that the left often exhibits when their plans come crumbling down. This was all in stark contrast to Trump’s steady march toward the required 270 Electoral College votes, which was confirmed in the early hours of Wednesday.
The internet is forever and deleting this tweet shows Buzzfeed to be the ‘lil bitch’ pic.twitter.com/Vf3uR2dN2I

Initially, BuzzFeed attempted to mock Trump with a snapshot showing every state colored blue, accompanied by a claim that their simulations of 80,000 possible election outcomes depicted a clear win for Harris. However, they were soon proven wrong as the reality of the electoral landscape shifted in Trump’s favor. It’s always a risky game to toy with statistical predictions, especially when it seems that magic number—270—was slipping further away from the Democrats as the night wore on.
BuzzFeed has a notorious reputation for misleading its audience, as demonstrated back in 2017 with the publication of the infamous and entirely unverified Steele dossier. This flawed narrative was crafted by Democrats to smear Trump, yet it was seized upon by the left as if it were gospel. The aftermath of that saga culminated in the prolonged and ultimately fruitless investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Only much later, after diligent work by conservative journalists and Republicans, was the truth revealed: it was all a dirty trick by the Clinton campaign.
As the results rolled in Tuesday night, conservatives chuckled at the media’s misery; outrage and accusations were rampant across broadcasting networks, where commentators slung derision toward Trump and his supporters. There was plenty of finger-pointing, with many leftists reflecting on how the election might have gone differently had circumstances aligned in their favor. While these talking heads were busy spiraling into despair, millions of Trump supporters kept their heads down, cheering for every piece of encouraging news, taking pleasure in the left’s public meltdown. It was the kind of spectacle that solidified their belief in a broad base of support behind Trump, even as mainstream media figures drew closer to apoplexy.
