The Trump administration is standing strong against liberal judges trying to stop the deportation of dangerous gang members. Over 200 Venezuelan nationals with ties to the violent Tren de Aragua gang were flown to El Salvador last weekend. President Trump used the Alien Enemies Act, a law from 1798 meant for wartime threats, to protect American communities from these criminals.
A radical judge in Washington, D.C., James Boasberg, tried to block the flights after they were already in the air. The administration rightly refused to turn the planes around. They were over international waters, and common sense says judges can’t control what happens outside our borders. The Department of Justice argued national security is too important to let judges micromanage border enforcement.
The left-wing media is crying about “due process,” but the facts are clear. These gang members have terrorized our streets. The Tren de Aragua is linked to murders, drug trafficking, and human smuggling. Letting them stay would put American lives at risk. The Trump administration isn’t waiting for endless court battles while criminals roam free.
Judge Boasberg keeps demanding more paperwork instead of focusing on safety. He even threatened to investigate the White House for following the law. This is pure grandstanding by a liberal judge who cares more about headlines than justice. President Trump called for Boasberg’s impeachment, and rightly so. Courts shouldn’t interfere with the President’s duty to defend the nation.
The administration’s legal team has a strong case. Legal expert Jonathan Turley says Trump’s use of executive power here is on solid ground. Previous Supreme Court decisions support the President’s authority in national security matters. Turley warned, however, that the administration must avoid overreach and stick to clear constitutional arguments.
Democrats and activist judges want open borders. They’d rather protect foreign gang members than American families. The White House exposed this hypocrisy by releasing details about the deported criminals. One had a violent tattoo linked to gang activity, while others bragged about their crimes online. The media ignores these facts to push their agenda.
This fight is headed to the Supreme Court, where common sense usually wins. The administration is confident they’ll prevail, as they should. The Alien Enemies Act gives the President full authority during threats, and Tren de Aragua’s invasion of our borders qualifies. Liberal judges can’t rewrite the Constitution to suit their politics.
President Trump promised to clean up our streets, and he’s delivering. The deportation flights are just the start. With support from patriotic Americans, the administration will keep battling the deep state and activist courts. Safety must come first, and the President won’t back down from defending our homeland.
