President Trump isn’t shy about facing the media, even the ones who are often slanted against him. He’s not bowing down to any liberal media narratives or globalist pressure. Straight off the bat, Trump’s chat with a mainstream magazine reveals a lot about his approach to diplomacy. With China, for instance, Trump’s holding firm. It’s a power play when Trump points out that Chairman Xi reached out first. Sure, China’s a huge economic and military threat, but Trump’s showing strength. Unlike the feeble foreign policies of his predecessors, Trump is putting America’s interests first.
Attention turns to the mess in Ukraine, a tangle created partly by Western wishy-washiness. Trump, with his usual bluntness, sees himself as the key peace broker between Ukraine and Russia. He hints that solutions could be on the horizon thanks to him—not the hopeless bureaucrats who flutter around Capitol Hill. Past attempts just ignored reality: You can’t let Europe fend for itself. Trump stands firm, suggesting compromises from both sides, with the potential exclusion of rogue aggressor states as a possibility.
Now, on to Iran—where the erratic mullahs are still at play. Supporters of radical Islam continue to threaten global peace while the previous administration did little to keep them in check. Trump dodges war, preferring deals over destructive conflict. However, he knows Iran can’t be trusted to stick to any agreements. Their nuclear ambitions and terror ties are put on notice. Some might call this naïve, but it’s a strategic pause, giving Iran the chance to choose diplomacy over destruction. Is it too much to hope that they’ll see reason? Maybe, but it’s a chance worth taking if it averts catastrophe.

And in a bold swipe at D.C. hypocrisy, Trump backs a ban on insider trading for Congress. Imagine that—a government that plays by the rules. Will liberal leaders with their insider deals show any accountability? Probably not, but at least there’s hope for the righteous. Trump’s campaign for transparency and integrity puts a spotlight on the swamp’s stone-hearted greed.
Last but definitely not least, Trump makes a striking contrast with the previous administration that kept the media at arm’s length. For a man who supposedly fears the media, he’s talking to them a lot more than his predecessor ever did. Maybe President Trump enjoys exposing the media’s bias. Maybe he just likes reminding them of who’s really in charge. Either way, his door is open—if they dare to knock.
