Energy Secretary Chris Wright has been tasked to execute the plan immediately, ensuring the oil is brought to U.S. docks and the revenue is used in ways that benefit both Venezuelans and Americans.
This deal opens the door for American energy companies to invest billions to repair Venezuela’s wrecked infrastructure and restore production—bringing jobs, profits, and strategic advantage back to U.S. shores. The administration has signaled it will work with major U.S. firms and provide security guarantees so that investment can flow and American workers and shareholders reap the rewards.
