Conservatives who believe in securing the border and enforcing the law see this as common-sense governance: if cities won’t protect their own citizens, the federal government must step in.
The operation has been messy and tragic, with at least two fatal shootings during enforcement actions that have inflamed passions on both sides and given the media fresh outrage to chew on. These incidents are painful and require full transparency, but they should not become an excuse for paralyzing the rule of law or allowing criminal networks to operate with impunity.

Law-abiding Americans who work hard and play by the rules should view such tactics for what they are: political theater aimed at overturning the consent of the governed.
There have been troubling reports of aggressive federal actions — even attempts to enter foreign consular premises were reported and blocked — and those incidents deserve scrutiny so that enforcement stays within the law. Conservatives who back robust immigration enforcement also demand accountability and full adherence to legal norms; supporting the rule of law means both enforcing it and policing the enforcers.
Make no mistake: this fight is larger than Minneapolis. It’s a battle for the soul of American governance — whether we will allow cities to become sanctuaries for crime and corruption or whether we will restore a system that protects property, families, and honest work. Real patriots stand for secure borders, tough but lawful enforcement, and leadership that prioritizes safety over spectacle.
If Democrats and metropolitan mayors keep choosing performative outrage over practical solutions, voters will remember come election time. Conservatives must organize, hold elected officials accountable, and vote for leaders who will back commonsense enforcement and the men and women in uniform who keep our communities safe.
