Trump’s Fulton County Showdown: Ex-POTUS Rattles Liberal Chains Once Again

Another charge has been brought against former President Donald Trump. This time, it's in Fulton County, Georgia. He and 18 other people have been charged with racketeering for trying to change the results of the 2020 election, which is against the law. Trump just can't seem to get a break!

On Thursday night, Trump is likely to go to the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta and turn himself in. The FAA has even put limits on flights in the area during that time, so you know it's going to be a big deal.

But don't worry, Trump won't actually go to jail. His lawyers have made a deal so that he can get out of jail after paying a $200,000 bond. There are, of course, some rules about his freedom. He can't threaten witnesses or talk to his co-defendants directly or indirectly about the case against him, except through his lawyers.

Now comes the fun part: Trump will probably have to get his picture taken and fingerprints taken. It's like getting your picture taken at school, but much worse. If Trump is charged, the Fulton County Sheriff has made it clear that he will have to go through the "normal practises" of getting booked. I bet Trump never thought he would have to go through something like that.

After Trump is booked, he won't be brought to court right away. He will have to go back to Georgia at a later time for that. The district attorney has suggested that the hearing happen during the first week of September, but nothing is set in stone yet.

All of this is going on while Trump is the leader in the Republican primary for president in 2024. I guess he is doing something to keep himself busy while he waits for his next campaign. But, hey, he didn't miss the first Republican discussion, so that's something. Oh, he did, I forgot. He might just be messing with us to keep us on our toes.
