President Trump, never afraid to challenge the status quo, is again redefining what it means to be a leader unafraid to act. His decision to transform the White House’s East Wing with a new ballroom has left political elites both awed and outraged. This bold move, financed without dipping into taxpayer funds, marks a commitment to enhancing American dignity in what should be our nation’s most prestigious residence.
What’s even more fascinating is how the media glosses over another striking change. Trump recently unveiled a stunning remodel of the Lincoln Bathroom, replacing the outdated ‘art deco green tile’—a leftover from Truman’s era—with elegant black and white polished Statuary marble. This return to classic design is not only visually stunning but a rightful homage to the grandeur of the Lincoln era. Yet, isn’t it telling how the liberal media prefers to focus so vehemently on the ballroom instead?

I renovated the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House. It was renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era. I did it in black and white polished Statuary marble.… pic.twitter.com/Ytm1s1AtKa

As expected, Democrats, like Representative Eric Swalwell, can’t handle improvements spearheaded by a man they loathe. Swalwell’s hysterical calls to demolish the ballroom—or even rename it for Barack Obama—are nothing more than a desperate gasp for attention. Demands like these expose a party more obsessed with erasing Trump’s legacy than engaging in meaningful governance.
Republicans, of course, are having none of it. They see through these tantrums for what they are: misguided bids to waste taxpayer resources and time. They stand ready to defend any positive change—even if it was Donald Trump who had the vision to make it happen.
Democrats could be focusing on pressing national issues, but no, they prefer to bicker over a ballroom. It seems like they’re too busy throwing stones in their echo chambers to notice that Americans are craving leaders who actually lead. As they fret and flail, perhaps they should ponder this: what will you build when you have the power, if all you can think about is destroying what others have created?
