He canceled further military action because he recognized something that the left, with their knee-jerk reactionism and endless drumbeat for intervention, often overlooks: progress is possible through negotiation.
Under the interim government in Venezuela, there’s a glimmer of hope emerging. Trump’s choice to hold back on a “second wave of attacks” speaks volumes. It underscores the fact that not every problem demands immediate force, contrary to what many liberal interventionists would have us believe. Yet, where are the cheers from the supposed champions of peace on the left? Absent, as usual. They can’t bring themselves to praise a move that avoids violence simply because it’s orchestrated by a President they loathe. Liberals are quick to claim the moral high ground but fall silent when a conservative leader takes real steps toward diplomacy.
Additionally, let’s not ignore the release of American prisoners as a direct outcome of this approach. Unlike the weak-kneed diplomatic efforts of previous administrations that would have probably resulted in a ransom or apologies, Trump secured their freedom with the firmness that only a strong leader can muster. This is a clear win for American strength, a win that the mainstream media will likely downplay or ignore altogether.
The question remains: if Trump can see progress where others saw only chaos, what does that say about the liberal elite who continually misjudge international affairs? Once again, Trump defies expectations, making bold moves that underscore the importance of American strength on the global stage. Isn’t it time more leaders followed his example and put America first?
