America and our Israeli allies have delivered a punishing set of strikes that the U.S. military says has severely degraded Iran’s air defenses and key military infrastructure, a decisive answer to years of regime aggression. This is the kind of clear, muscular response Americans have been promised but rarely seen from past administrations — and it’s already changing the battlefield calculus in Tehran.
U.S. Central Command reported the destruction of dozens of missile launchers, hundreds of drones, and numerous naval vessels — including strikes that left Iranian ships disabled — showing the regime’s ability to project power has been sharply diminished. These are not theoretical victories; they are the hard, physical blows that blunt Tehran’s threats to U.S. forces and our partners across the region.
The strikes also hit military and nuclear-related sites that U.S. and Israeli officials say have set back Iran’s weapons programs and degraded the IRGC’s command-and-control capabilities. For years Tehran hid behind deniability and proxies while building lethal capacity; now those production and leadership nodes are being dismantled.
Conservatives long argued that strength, not appeasement, deters bad actors — and these operations vindicate that view. President Trump and the Pentagon moved when necessary, and while no military action is without cost, letting an enemy grow unchecked would have been far more dangerous to American lives and to Israel.
We must also be honest about the human and strategic costs: there have been American casualties and tragic collateral damage inside Iran, including civilian infrastructure hit amid complex targeting. That reality underscores the gravity of the choice we’re watching unfold and the responsibility to prosecute this effort with precision and clarity of purpose.
Now is not the time for hand-wringing or moral equivalence; it’s the time to support our troops, back our allies, and press the advantage until Iran’s capacity to menace the region is permanently broken. Hard decisions produce hard results, and for once our nation is choosing strength over surrender — a course any patriot should applaud and reinforce.
