It seems that even a broken clock is right twice a day, and Joe Biden managed to stumble upon the truth for once. In his recent speech on the attacks in Israel, Biden actually described them as acts of terrorism, which is a refreshing departure from the usual soft language we hear from the media. It’s not surprising that the press has been hesitant to use the word “terrorism” when describing these attacks. Many outlets have been more interested in justifying the attacks and addressing the concerns of the Palestinians. It’s almost comical how these journalists like to portray themselves as brave warriors, but when faced with the reality of terrorism, they shrink and play games with their words.
In the Face of Ghastly Terrorism in Israel, Why Is the US Media Refusing to Call It ‘Terrorism’?https://t.co/ESPKTgIDgG

From the New York Times to ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and the Washington Post, the media has chosen to describe the attackers as “militants” or “fighters” instead of calling them what they really are: terrorists. It’s clear that there is an agenda at play here, and it’s unfortunate that the truth is being sacrificed for political correctness. But this is not just a problem in the United States. In Canada, the Canadian Broadcasting Company has actually instructed its journalists to avoid calling Hamas terrorists. They claim that the word “terrorism” is politicized and should be treated as opinion, not fact. This is an insult to the victims of these attacks and a blatant display of cowardice on the part of the media.
1/ After likely the largest atrocity against Jewish civilians since the Holocaust, the @nytimes front page—which talks of an "assault" by "militants" whose "gunmen" infiltrated Israel—does use a "terror" word once.
Only, it's in reference to *Palestinians* being terrified. pic.twitter.com/Pl12ibSODm

Even National Public Radio (NPR) has fallen victim to this politically correct mindset. In their coverage of the attacks, NPR altered the direct quotes from Israeli officials, removing the word “terrorists” and replacing it with their own approved language. It’s disheartening to see journalists hijacking the narrative and disregarding official national declarations. Both the United States and Canada have classified Hamas as a terrorist organization, yet the media insists on reclassifying and softening their actions. It’s clear that these journalists think they know better than the government and military authorities. They want to be the arbiters of truth, but their actions only serve to undermine the reality of terrorism.
It’s time for the media to stop playing word games and start telling the truth. The attacks in Israel were acts of terrorism, plain and simple. The victims deserve to have their suffering acknowledged, and the perpetrators should be held accountable for their actions. It’s disappointing to see the media prioritize political correctness over the truth, but luckily there are still voices out there, like Joe Biden, who are willing to speak the truth. Let’s hope more follow suit and stop cowering behind euphemisms and veiled language. It’s time to call terrorism what it is.
