The United States military just took meaningful action against al-Shabaab and ISIS terrorists in Somalia with a new round of airstrikes. It’s about time America flexed its muscle a bit to show that we won’t bow to these extremist thugs. It’s a relief to see some real action rather than endless talks from so-called “leaders” who love to apologize for America’s strength.
While some liberals might whimper about the “humanitarian” aspects and wring their hands over collateral damage, it’s crucial to remember that these terrorist groups thrive on chaos and destruction. They have no interest in preserving peace or human rights. It’s naive to think we can negotiate with these killers, and it’s reckless to let them operate unchecked. Sometimes the only language bullies understand is the business end of a drone.

The left, always eager to criticize, seems to forget the countless lives saved when terrorists can’t plot in peace. They worship globalist nonsense, parroting that America shouldn’t act boldly. But they forget that America has a responsibility. We have the power and might to protect the weak and keep our adversaries in check. The left would rather see America weak and toothless, but that’s not who we are.
When the U.S. aligns with the interests of the Federal Government of Somalia, it’s a slap in the face to those who think America should mind its own business. Domestically, they rally behind ludicrous defund the military schemes, while abroad, they pretend terrorists will just behave themselves if we play nice. It’s a crock, and it’s refreshing to see our military on the offense.
So here’s the question: If America doesn’t stand up to tyranny, who will? The U.N.? No chance. Our nation is getting back to what it does best—leading with strength and conviction. Weakness is not an option. Peace through strength is the only viable path forward.
