DeSantis used the term "maniacal impulse" to describe the actions of the Communist Party of China while standing next to the protesters.
After criticizing the CCP, DeSantis turned his attention to Apple. He also threatened to remove Twitter from the App Store if the company's CEO Elon Musk decides to turn the platform into a free speech zone.

According to DeSantis, some accounts on Twitter were unfairly suspended due to the inaccurate information they had posted about COVID. Apple responded by threatening to remove the platform from the App Store.
In response to a question, DeSantis said that if Apple decides to remove Twitter from the App Store, it would be a huge mistake and would be a "monstrous exercise of power" that would merit a response from the US Congress.
In response to Apple, DeSantis criticized the company for being a "vase" of the Communist Party of China. He also warned the company not to be "a vassal of the CCP" and to use its corporate power to suppress the rights of Americans.
