In an alarming expansion of power, the IRS is no longer content with just squeezing every penny out of hardworking Americans. Now, it’s got its eyes set on policing our streets. Recently, the IRS ramped up its involvement by helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and patrolling the streets of Washington, D.C. Sounds like a law enforcement overreach, not a tax agency, doesn’t it?
Back in the day, the IRS earned its stripes by ending Al Capone’s reign of terror. That was a chapter in history when they focused on actual tax crimes. Fast forward to today, and we see an IRS that’s ready to flex its muscles beyond spreadsheets and tax forms, stepping into roles meant for dedicated law enforcement agencies. It’s as if they have forgotten their true purpose and instead sought to become a one-stop shop for all things enforcement.

The terrifying part is how liberals champion this invasive behavior, highlighting nothing but their hypocrisy. They scream about government overreach when it suits their narrative, but cheer when big government stomps even harder on ordinary folks. By letting the IRS function in these roles, they are endorsing a bloated bureaucracy with too many fingers in too many pies.
Globalists and their liberal allies would love nothing more than to see America become a police state, where every action is scrutinized by any number of Federal agencies. Instead of focusing on real threats, such as cartels flooding drugs across our border, they want to weaponize agencies that should be focusing strictly on tax-related matters.
When will this power grab end? When will we wake up and realize that mixing tax collectors with police work is a recipe for disaster? It’s high time we asked ourselves if bureaucracies, emboldened and unchecked, are truly serving us or if they’re just paving the way for the next chapter of governmental overreach.
