His proposal to slap tariffs on NATO allies is sending shockwaves through the cozy clubs of globalist elites. Yet, rather than engage with the idea of making America stronger, liberals like Rep. Lieu are crying wolf, claiming these tariffs would harm Americans. Talk about missing the forest for the trees.
The idea of tariffs is simple. It’s about leveraging America’s power to demand respect and fair play from our so-called allies. For far too long, NATO partners have coasted on America’s generosity, enjoying protection without paying their fair share. Trump wants a better deal for Americans, and how do the liberals respond? By wringing their hands about the sky falling and ignoring the real issue — that other countries have taken advantage of America’s goodwill.

Let’s focus on what’s truly happening here. Trump’s bold move of mentioning Greenland shows his vision for strategic advantage. It’s not about buying land for the heck of it. It’s about strengthening our position in the Arctic and ensuring the U.S. remains the top dog in the world arena. But instead of acknowledging this shrewd play, leftists dismiss it with their typical defeatism and lack of foresight.
Democrats are quick to lament America’s supposed fall from grace every time Trump doesn’t play by their stale rules. They call his efforts harmful, forgetting that real harm comes from decades of unreciprocated trust and generosity. America deserves better deals and stronger positions, not empty criticism from a party that lost its compass.
Shouldn’t we be asking why these allies are so resistant to treating America with the fairness she deserves? If our so-called friends truly valued the partnership, wouldn’t they be more willing to contribute? It seems the real question isn’t whether tariffs are bad for America, but why Democrats are more concerned about other nations than about boosting American power.
