But don’t expect Democrat governors and mayors to accept responsibility for poor flood control or disorganized disaster response. No, they’ll double down on blaming the “climate crisis” while ignoring the fact that cold snaps, snow, and storms have been part of American winters since the founding of this country. This relentless politicization of weather events serves only to confuse the public and delay practical solutions that save lives and livelihoods.
Meanwhile, Americans in the South who saw 70-degree temps on Sunday face a harsh reality check as Arctic air plummets temperatures into the 40s and 50s within days. This brutal swing is a reminder that weather doesn’t follow political lines or preferred narratives.
