Those sneaky progressive ideas have wormed their way into the U.S. military, and it’s got the conservative warriors up in arms! The Center Square reported that the progressive ideology on race and gender in the military has become a hot-button issue, sparking a fiery Congressional hearing. Critics are steaming mad, claiming that this radical agenda is a massive waste of taxpayer dollars and causing major headaches in the ranks.
The Department of Defense has been caught red-handed funding drag shows, white privilege training, and other absurdities. The Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs hosted a hearing to put these shenanigans on blast, dubbing it “The Risks of Progressive Ideologies in the U.S. Military.” At the hearing, former U.S. Space Force lieutenant colonel, Matthew Lohmeier, called out the military malarkey, declaring that these diversity initiatives have no business being crammed down the throats of our brave service members.

But wait, there’s more! The Pentagon is pleading with Congress for a whopping $140 million to pump up these “woke diversity initiatives” in 2024. That’s a whole lot of dough for something that’s got 62% of active-duty military members feeling like the military has become a political playground. And to make matters worse, recruitment is taking a nosedive, with 65% of service members telling their own kids to steer clear of a military career. Yikes! The Defense Department is struggling to fill its ranks, falling short of last year’s recruiting target by a whopping 41,000 souls.
Congressman Mike Waltz, R-Fla., didn’t hold back when he slammed the authors of so-called Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion teachings at the Air Force academy. He called their rhetoric divisive, destructive, and dead wrong. And he’s not the only one crying foul. U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., dug up dirt, uncovering more alarming instances where conservatives faced discipline while their liberal counterparts got away scot-free. It’s like the Left has a free pass to run amok, while anyone right of center gets the shaft.
To add insult to injury, certain provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act have been a battleground for this ideological warfare. The U.S. House passed a measure to keep critical race theory out of on-base schools, but the Senate snatched it away. And the Department of Defense Education Activity got called out for letting a Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusivity Officer run wild, spouting off derogatory remarks against white folks. Are you kidding me?
So, there you have it, folks – the U.S. military is under siege from the “woke” brigade. It’s a political circus, and our service members are caught in the crossfire. The conservative crusaders are sounding the alarm, and it’s high time to slam the brakes on this radical nonsense!
