Because it wrongfully silenced President Donald Trump. Following a massive crackdown after January 6, YouTube chose to mute Trump’s voice, erroneously claiming it was necessary to prevent violence. Skeptical? Rightfully so.
The fact that $24.5 million isn’t just pocket change for YouTube is a testament to the potency of the censorship claim levied against them. This settlement comes hot on the heels of a similar payout by Meta, the puppet masters behind Facebook. They coughed up $25 million in a desperate attempt to dodge a courtroom showdown. Clearly, these Big Tech moguls are quaking in their boots, scrambling to save face as their overextension into censorship backfires spectacularly.

Here lies the root of the issue: the blatant double standards practiced by Silicon Valley elites. They de-platformed the sitting American President, yet let radical postings roll unchecked. Had enough of this hypocrisy? The American people certainly have. This lopsided playing field is nothing short of an attack on conservative voices across the country. No longer content to simply shadow-ban, these platforms dive headfirst into silencing voices that dissent from their leftist agenda.
Of course, let’s not overlook the millions YouTube is forking over that won’t go into Trump’s wallet. Instead, this mission-supporting cash heads directly to the nonprofit Trust for the National Mall. This should serve as a shining testament to America’s resilience, funding a grand ballroom project, which is far more honorable than lining the coffers of litigation-hungry attorneys. Even in a legal victory, Trump positions this money to contribute to the nation’s heritage.
In today’s world, where tech giants wield their power with little regard for fairness, one has to wonder: Who polices the censors? Who holds the puppet masters accountable when they place their thumb on the scale of free speech? The true champions preserving the American dialogue are those boldly standing against this machine. Are we content to let globalists dictate our constitutionally protected speech?
