CNN, the unsurprisingly liberal news network, recently conducted interviews with Americans who have been completely ignored by the Biden administration. And what they found was not surprising at all. It’s clear that the border crisis could easily be solved with a wall, something everyone except clueless Biden seems to understand.
One such American is Brian Silvas, who purchased 78-acres of land on the Southern California border two years ago. Silvas is a firm believer in legal immigration, but he is absolutely fed up with the current situation. The border wall abruptly ends just a few feet into his property, leaving him with nothing more than a flimsy razor wire fence to protect his land. Silvas has had enough and said, “If I had the money, I would build my own wall right here!” I can’t say I blame him.

Day after day, Silvas witnesses droves of migrants crossing onto his land, an influx that has escalated since the expiration of Title 42 in May. Title 42 was a pandemic-era policy that allowed authorities to turn away migrants at the border, but of course, Biden let it expire because why bother with protecting our own country, right? Silvas describes seeing large groups of men and women passing through his property and he’s rightfully concerned. But the Biden administration doesn’t seem to care about the safety and security of Americans like Silvas.
In addition to Silvas, CNN also interviewed Jerry and Maria Shuster, a couple who understand firsthand the impact of illegal immigration. The Shusters live about five miles east of Silvas’ property and are facing a similar crisis. However, the migrants who cross their land don’t just pass through; they actually set up camp. Imagine having your property trampled on by strangers who have no respect for your land. Tents, trash, and discarded clothes litter their 17-acre property, and they even have to deal with campfires burning at night as the migrants try to stay warm. Jerry recounts how these trespassers have even chopped down their trees and used them for firewood. It’s a blatant disregard for private property that the Biden administration seems content to ignore.
Jerry, who immigrated from the former Yugoslavia, and Maria, who is from Mexico, both recognize the need for the government to take action. They understand that this illegal immigration crisis is not helping Americans like themselves; it’s destroying them. Maria passionately stated, “Stop it because (the migrants aren’t) helping us; they’re destroying us.” It’s refreshing to hear immigrants who came to this country legally speaking out against the lawlessness happening at the border. But unfortunately, their cries for help are falling on deaf ears in the Biden administration.
It’s clear that the Biden administration’s lack of action and disregard for the concerns of hard-working Americans is only exacerbating the border crisis. While ordinary citizens like Brian Silvas and the Shusters have to bear the brunt of this chaos, Biden and his liberal cohorts continue to push their open-border agenda. It’s high time for real leadership and a commitment to protecting the American people. The conservatives understand the importance of secure borders and immigration enforcement for the well-being of our nation. It’s a shame that the left seems more interested in virtue signaling than in protecting American citizens.
