The State of the Union address has been the focus of various media outlets due to how some Republican members of Congress reacted to Biden's lies. With that in mind, it's also worth asking if the public actually tuned in.

Since only a few of the country's citizens watched the speech, how did they feel about it? According to CNN, a majority of Americans were positive about the speech. In addition, 34 percent said they had a very positive reaction.
Another year, another poll conducted regarding last year's State of the Union speech. CNN also analyzed the presidential averages of former President Bill Clinton and Biden. It revealed that the former vice president had the lowest favorable rating among Americans who watched the speech.
Biden received a 38 percent favorable rating, while Barack Obama received a 50 percent favorable rating. George W. Bush was at 53 percent, and Donald Trump and Bill Clinton had 54 percent favorable ratings.
Trump and Biden were almost tied when it came to having the highest unfavorable rating among Americans.
The results of the poll revealed how Trump struggles with younger Americans. Only 21% of those who were under 45 said they had a favorable reaction, while 76% of those who were 65 years old or older and 75% of those who were younger claimed Biden's policies would move the nation in the right direction.
A survey was conducted by a company using a text message method for 552 adults who watched the speech. The margin of sampling error was 5.7 percentage points.
