Ana Navarro Suggests Biden Should Pardon Son Hunter Amid Party Strife

Ana Navarro, the self-proclaimed oracle of liberal logic on The View, recently tossed out a head-scratching suggestion: President Biden should pardon his son, Hunter Biden, in a bid to lash out at his Democratic comrades who have apparently dropped him like a hot potato. This comes in the wake of internal squabbling within the party after Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent electoral debacle, which has had more twists than a soap opera script.

Navarro’s comments unfolded amidst a backdrop of finger-pointing within the Democratic ranks, particularly toward Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who speculated that the outcome of the recent election might have been different if Biden had pulled the plug on his 2024 campaign sooner. One could almost hear the collective sigh from the Democratic leadership as they grapple with the fallout of yet another lackluster performance at the polls. But here enters Navarro, the voice of reason (or misguided humor), who believes that Biden, under fire from all sides, should square off with his critics by bailing out his son.

As Navarro mused, the White House’s current occupant has a solid two and a half months left to wield his executive power. It seems that Navarro thinks the best way to make a splash would be to pardon Hunter, who might be more notorious than a reality show villain. She pointed out that America has recently seen a generous pardon for a fellow who struggled under legal scrutiny for his own transgressions. Namely, President Trump did indeed pardon Charles Kushner, the father of Jared Kushner, a man who had quite the catalog of offenses under his belt. Apparently, Navarro believes what’s fair for one political dynasty should also apply to another, even if that means busting out a family-sized pardon for Hunter.

Navarro has a history of sympathy for Hunter, regularly lamenting that he’s just another victim of the so-called “Republican conspiracy machine.” No doubt, being on the receiving end of scrutiny for his questionable business dealings and lifestyle choices must take quite the emotional toll. The poor guy is caught in the middle of a swamp of partisan antics, and Trolls of the Right seem to be having a field day with it.

Just as a reminder, Hunter’s legal woes are far from over. He recently found himself facing serious charges, with impending sentencing that could send him away for nearly 20 years. Despite these looming troubles, President Biden has pledged not to offer a pardon, a move that might keep Democratic supporters off his back—for the moment. However, with Trump looming on the horizon, there’s a potential flicker of hope for Hunter, who might just be waiting for the chance to bask in some of that pardon power once the 45th president takes office again.

Between Navarro’s wild ideas, internal Democratic squabbles, and Hunter’s legal battles, one thing is clear: the circus is alive and well in Washington, and it’s anyone’s guess how this will all play out. But one can’t help but grin at the spectacle as the left seems to get more wrapped up in their contradictions by the day.
