The news about Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s health has got everyone in a tizzy! It turns out that he’s been battling prostate cancer, and he had to go under the knife back in December to get rid of it. But that’s not all, folks! He ended up in the intensive care unit last week because of an infection. Yikes! And get this – President Joe Biden and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan were kept in the dark about Austin’s surgery and hospital stay. Can you believe it? What a sneaky move by the Pentagon!

The Pentagon is calling Austin’s surgery “elective,” like he just decided on a whim to have his prostate removed. Yeah right! As if anyone would choose to have surgery if they didn’t really need it. Give us a break! The White House and the Department of Defense are now doing some serious soul-searching on how they should handle things when a top official is MIA. Maybe next time, they’ll think twice about keeping the big guys out of the loop.
The doctors at Walter Reed Medical Center, where Austin is recovering, say his prognosis is excellent. Well, we sure hope so! But it sounds like his road to recovery might be a long and bumpy one. Maybe the Pentagon should focus on getting Austin back on his feet rather than covering their tracks. Just saying!
