Failed Democratic presidential and Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke just can’t seem to get with the program. He’s gone on his little Twitter tirade yet again, this time railing against President Joe Biden’s decision to build a wall along the southern border. Apparently, O’Rourke thinks it’s too confusing for voters to tell the difference between Biden and Trump. Bless his heart, he must have forgotten that Trump was the one who promised to build the wall in the first place!
Beto O’Rourke Says Biden’s Border Wall Makes It Hard for Voters to ‘Distinguish Between Him and Trump’

O’Rourke, in his infinite wisdom, boldly declared that “walls don’t work” and accused Biden of engaging in “impotent political posturing.” Well, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and remind ourselves why the wall is so desperately needed. The Department of Homeland Security reported that the Rio Grande Valley Sector has experienced over 245,000 illegal entrants attempting to cross the border in FY 2023 alone. That’s a staggering number, folks.
1. Walls don’t work
2. President Biden promised he wouldn’t build them
3. Now even harder for voters to distinguish between him & Trump on border/immigration
4. Wasted opportunity to use executive power to actually fix our asylum system instead of impotent political posturing https://t.co/AQkxokNd2a

So, it’s no surprise that DHS has decided to take action and construct barriers and roads along the border. After all, President Biden himself proclaimed during his campaign that there would be no more wall construction. But as we all know, campaign promises have a pesky habit of being broken. And let’s not forget the wise words of Townhall, which reported that Biden plans to use high-tech capacity at the ports of entry to deal with border security. Because apparently, all the “bad stuff” only happens there. Good luck with that, Mr. President.
It’s laughable to see O’Rourke trying to criticize Biden for doing what he said he wouldn’t do. Maybe O’Rourke is just bitter because he failed miserably in his own bid for presidency and now wants to play armchair politician on social media. Seriously, someone get this man a hobby.
At the end of the day, we should be grateful that President Biden is finally taking some action to address the crisis at the southern border. It may not be the exact solution we conservatives had in mind, but at least it’s a step in the right direction. The fact that O’Rourke can’t see that and instead chooses to throw a temper tantrum on Twitter just proves how out of touch he is with reality. Sorry, Beto, but the people aren’t buying what you’re selling.
