The Biden administration is at it again, ready to put the security of the United States and our allies at risk! This time, they are proposing that we lift some of the sanctions on Iran if they agree to halt their uranium enrichment program. And by some, we mean most of them. This is a dangerous game to play with a rogue nation that has proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted.

According to a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran’s scientists have produced 87.5 kilograms of uranium at a level that could potentially be used to power a nuclear weapon. And if they enriched their stock of uranium to 90 percent, they would have enough to do just that. The Biden administration claims that they are trying to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, but their actions suggest otherwise.

To make matters worse, the Biden administration has been working with our European partners and even Israel to negotiate this deal. But Israel has made it clear that they will take military action if Iran enriches their stock of uranium beyond the present levels. So why is the Biden administration even considering this risky proposal if it puts our ally in harm’s way?
To add insult to injury, the Biden administration has also waived sanctions to allow Iran to work with Russia on nuclear enrichment at suspected military sites. Texas Senator Ted Cruz has introduced legislation to stop the administration from renewing these waivers, but it seems their obsession with reentering a nuclear deal with Iran is too strong.
State Department spokesman Ned Price claims that a return to the 2015 nuclear deal is not feasible after Iran committed numerous human rights violations during recent protests in Tehran. But that doesn’t seem to matter as the Biden administration continues to negotiate with Iran and our allies.
It’s time for the Biden administration to put the safety and security of the United States and our allies first. We cannot afford to let Iran obtain nuclear weapons, and we cannot afford to trust a nation that has proven untrustworthy time and time again. It’s time for the Biden administration to wake up and put America first.
