The news that Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the October 7 attacks on Israel, has been eliminated by Israeli forces was monumental. Yet, true to form, the Biden administration rushed to spin this moment to fit their narrative. Kamala Harris set the stage with her hollow announcement declaring “Justice has been served,” despite having voiced strong opposition to Israel’s military actions in Gaza from the start. This blatant hypocrisy could only be described as shameless.
Joe Biden, who was en route to Germany when the news broke, wasted no time in jumping on the bandwagon. He attempted to equate Israel’s victory with the United States’ hunt for Osama bin Laden, ignoring the glaring fact that he was initially against bin Laden’s elimination. In a display of dramatic flair, he proclaimed that this was a good day—not acknowledging that if it were up to him, Sinwar would still be alive, plotting more attacks against Israel. His claim that American intelligence played a critical role in the operation seemed disingenuous, especially considering Biden and his administration have been pressuring Israel for months to pull back.

The political theatrics continued as Biden sought to bask in the reflected glory of Israel’s success. In his statement, he attempted to evoke images of the post-bin Laden triumph in the U.S., conveniently glossing over the fact that he had advised against the very operation that brought bin Laden to justice. If anyone is keeping score, it’s clear that while Biden desires the credit for international successes, he has simultaneously worked to undermine Israel’s decisive actions.
The truth is, Biden and Harris eagerly wished for a ceasefire in the region, hoping the conflict would simmer down just in time for the election season. This is clearly not the mindset of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is resolutely committed to eradicating Hamas and its influence in Gaza. As fighting escalated, Biden’s administration found itself flip-flopping, initially calling for a ceasefire in Lebanon before hastily reversing course and endorsing Israel’s aggressive military actions.
As Netanyahu continues to carry out his operations against Hamas and Hezbollah, the Biden administration looks increasingly lost, casting about for a coherent response. Netanyahu’s determination to complete the job stands in stark contrast to the Biden-Harris administration’s apparent desire for the issue to vanish simply. Biden’s approach, fraught with contradictions and failures, is a stark reminder to voters of the consequences of ineffectual leadership in foreign policy.
In a world where evil is met with decisive action, the Biden administration’s failings in dealing with such existential threats should not be overlooked. As the conflict rages on, it is clear that the perception of strength and determination lies with Israel while the current U.S. administration struggles to keep its footing in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape. The American public should remain vigilant in holding leaders accountable for these critical moments on the world stage, where every misstep could lead to dire consequences.
